When importing food products from China, the normal process is to conduct a 3-step inspection – first corporate, then the Chinese government, and finally, Japanese Customs. At Sugatatsu, we add an additional step with an inspection conducted by a third-party public institution – the Japan Frozen Foods Inspection Corporation. Only qualifying products which can pass these strict standards are allowed to enter distribution.
