History of Sugatatsu

1987 Sugatatsu Inc. was established.
1993 Restructured as Sugatatsu Co. Ltd.
Started selling our own products, such as rolled squid.
1999 Company changed its name to “Sugatatsu Co. Ltd.”
2001 “Special Rolled Squid” was introduced. Sales commenced.
2003 The Fukuoka office was established.
The Sugatatsu Inc. Ofunato factory was established.
2004 July:                      Merged with Sugamiya Co. Ltd. (affiliated company).
Launch of the eel brand, “Saru Zamurai”. Sales commenced.
September:          The Tokyo office was established. (Now the Tokyo branch office.)
2005 Closure of the Ofunato factory.
2006 February:　         Launch of the eel brand, “Umi Zamurai”. Sales commenced.
July:　                   The Fukuoka office was re-organized into the Fukuoka branch.
December:　      Moved to the new building in Hasaki Shinko, Kamisu City,
Ibaraki Prefecture.
The Tokyo office was re-organized into the Tokyo branch.
The Osaka branch was established.
2007 March 31st:           “Shake”, a related company, was established in Hong Kong.
2008 April:　                 The merging of the Fukuoka and Osaka branches occurred.
